Purpose of the Role

The
Senior Manager – Risk Advisory
will lead and support client delivery across NAB and other BFS clients in Australia. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in risk and assurance, and deep knowledge of Genpact's risk solutions.

The Senior Manager will independently manage client relationships, support business development, and lead account mining activities to identify new opportunities. Representing Genpact's consulting practice in Australia, this role will focus on solutions such as:

  • Operational Risk Management
  • Internal Control Framework Design & Review
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Risk Framework Development aligned with APRA regulations

The position will also support the growth of existing accounts (NAB, Suncorp, Westpac) and business expansion initiatives across Genpact Axis.

Key Accountabilities

Client Service & Delivery

  • Lead and support delivery of risk and assurance solutions across global engagements.
  • Independently manage client communications and relationships.
  • Drive business development and account mining to expand existing and new client accounts.
  • Manage multiple engagements with end-to-end responsibility for planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Assign and oversee project teams, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Interact with client senior management to align on business objectives and mandates.
  • Review deliverables for quality, including design assessments, operating effectiveness testing, and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide actionable recommendations and engage client leadership on root cause analysis and business impacts.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and mentor risk professionals across levels (Analysts to Senior Managers).
  • Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and provide regular feedback.
  • Define performance goals, coach team members, and manage approvals (e.g. leave).
  • Support recruitment and onboarding by assessing appropriate skillsets.

Working Relationships

  • Clients in the BFS industry (CRO, CEO, CFO, Risk Management functions).
  • Internal stakeholders across Risk Advisory and Consulting practices.

Knowledge Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of risk domains (operational risk, compliance risk, project risk).
  • Knowledge of risk appetite frameworks, governance models, and control assurance.
  • Expertise in GRC tools, operational risk and compliance frameworks, and APRA regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the Banking & Financial Services industry.
  • Proven ability in proposal development, solution design, and execution.
  • Experience providing operational risk consulting across complex, multi-line business organizations.

Experience Requirements

  • 10–15 years
    in Risk Advisory and Assurance, with demonstrated expertise in:
  • Operational Risk & Compliance frameworks
  • GRC tools and control assurance policies
  • Risk consulting, client engagement, proposal development, and solution delivery
