Make headlines. Build your PR career. Learn from the best.
Keep Left is looking for a hungry PR Account Executive to join our Sydney team. This is the ideal role for an ambitious communicator with 12–18 months' experience in an Australian agency who's ready to take their media relations skills to the next level. You'll work across high-profile clients, pitch stories that cut through, and help deliver campaigns that make an impact.
And here's the big news: Keep Left recently joined forces with Hardie Grant Media, one of Australia's leading independent marketing networks. If you're hungry to grow, passionate about media relations, and want to learn from some of the best in the business, this is the role for you.
A day in the life of this role.
As an Account Executive, you'll be a vital part of our PR team – building media lists, crafting compelling pitches, and supporting the smooth delivery of campaigns. You'll have the chance to take ownership of day-to-day media outreach while learning directly from senior leaders and account managers.
In this role you'll:
- Build and maintain media lists and stay across the media landscape.
- Develop strong journalist and influencer relationships, pitching with confidence.
- Write media releases, pitch notes, case studies and client updates to a high standard.
- Monitor coverage, manage reporting, and help evaluate campaign results.
- Contribute ideas in brainstorms and help identify opportunities for clients.
- Stay right on top of current affairs and proactively spot story angles.
- Support your team on client servicing, including WIPs, contact reports, and admin.
The qualities we're looking for
You're proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about PR. You understand the Australian media market with particular deep expertise in Sydney media, and you're excited to get results for your clients.
Our ideal candidate will bring:
- 2 years' agency experience in a similar, high-calibre agency environment.
- 12–18 months' PR agency experience in Australia (essential).
- Strong knowledge of the local media landscape and what makes news.
- Demonstrated success pitching stories and building journalist relationships.
- Excellent writing skills across media releases, pitch notes and client comms.
- Strong organisational skills – you juggle tasks and deadlines with ease.
- Confidence in front of clients, with the ability to hold yourself well.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for storytelling.
Why Keep Left?
Keep Left is an award-winning creative communications agency. Now, as part of the Hardie Grant Media network, you'll enjoy:
- The creativity and autonomy of an indie agency.
- The scale, reach, and expertise of a national network.
- Strong collaboration with digital, content, media, influencer, and production teams.
- Non-linear career pathways across the Hardie Grant Media network.
- A hybrid, flexible approach to working and extensive employee perks.
Employee benefits
Flexible work options – hybrid working and flexible hours.
Bonus leave days to recharge.
Active RAP, ESG, and D&I working groups.
Summer Hours program – enjoy shorter workdays in summer
Purchased leave program available to all staff.
Additional menstrual & menopausal leave to support wellbeing.
