As a Trainee Essential Services Technician, you'll work closely with experienced professionals to service and maintain Essential Safety Measures in line with Australian Standards. You will receive structured, on-the-job training and complete a Certificate II in Fire Equipment Maintenance, with the goal of gaining a restricted licence in Hose Reel and Hydrant Testing.

What you will be doing

With training and support, you will:

· Inspect, test, maintain, and repair:

o Portable fire protection equipment

o Hose reels and hydrant valves

o Emergency and exit lighting

o Signage and means of egress

o Fire and smoke doors

· Accurately complete service reports and document defects

· Assist with quoting repairs and equipment replacements

· Deliver outstanding customer service and support

· Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles

· Adhere to company and client safety standards and policies

· Attend and complete all required training sessions

Requirements

We're looking for someone who is:

· Take responsibility for your own health and safety, and that of others.

· Actively report hazards, incidents and near misses.

· Comply with our Life Saving Rules and safety policies.

What you need

· A current driver's licence.

· Working with Children Check (preferred, not essential).

· Year 12 completion (preferred but not essential).
