About The Role
Due to our continued growth on our current remote NSW infrastructure project, we now have a new opportunity for a
2/1 FIFO Contracts Administrator
to join our project team.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager and as part of a wider Commercial team, this role will be responsible for aspects of Contracts Administration, including head contract and subcontracts management as well as a large focus on supply chain for the project. The scope of works includes large scale FRP (Form Reo Pour) as well as tunnel lining.

Responsibilities Include

  • Ensuring Head and Subcontract compliance with regards to contractual provisions and notice time frames
  • Updating the maintenance of accurate registers (Procurement, Commercial Clarification, Correspondence, Variation, Site Instruction, Extension of Time Claims)
  • Understanding tender strategy with regards to Procurement/supply chain engagement
  • Involved in preparation and issuing of RFQ documentation including all related attachments/information and timeframes required for issue of documentation
  • Raising Purchase Orders based on approved Contract Values
  • Vendor onboarding including negotiation and execution of agreements
  • Reviewing Progress Claims / Invoices as submitted by subcontractors and ensure timely response to Payment Claims / payment of invoices as required under the Agreements
  • Issuing of relevant notifications against issue of revised drawings/scope of Works or Technical requirements
  • Compiling and Submitting Progress Claims, Variations as well as Extension of Time Claims

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Law, Construction Management or Civil Engineering - Ideal
  • At least 5+ experience in a similar position with a Civil Contractor
  • DIDO or FIFO experience on large scale remote infrastructure projects - A must
  • Compiling quantity take-off /bills of materials for packages - Desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and administer contracts and subcontracts
  • Solid understanding of cost control and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
