The Role
As a key member of our technical team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of IT systems for internal, and external, users. You will work closely with our senior engineers and project teams to deliver innovative and secure solutions. This role is ideal for an entry-mid level engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work and collaboration with internal teams to deliver outcomes.

In this role, you'll be expected to acknowledge and agree to comply with all policies, procedures, and controls established by Vectec to achieve and maintain compliance with the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard for information security management systems (ISMS).
What you will be doing
- Microsoft 365 Administration:
Maintain, and improve, the configuration and use of M365 within the organisation. Provide advice on how to use it better and educate staff on the same
. - SaaS Systems Implementation and Administration:
Assist relevant teams with the selection, design, implementation, administration, and ongoing improvement of SaaS systems. Including but not limited to ticketing, knowledge sharing, quoting, and asset management systems. - Technical Support & Troubleshooting: P
rovide proactive/reactive support to staff, quickly resolving technical issues to ensure smooth operations. - Documentation & Quality Control:
Develop and maintain high-quality, detailed documentation that ensures implementation and administration are easily understood by others. - Customer Interaction:
Work with project teams to understand project needs, participate in technical discussions, and ensure best results are achieved. - Knowledge Sharing:
Lead knowledge-sharing sessions with staff to ensure ideal use of systems. - Continuous Development:
Stay current with industry technology and demonstrate capability through vendor certifications.
Your skills:
General IT Skills:
Proficiency, and understanding, in a variety of IT technologies is essential, including but not limited to End User Compute, M365, Backup technologies.Security Understanding:
Familiarity with technologies and processes to improve security posture. Eg, encryption, phishing, system administration, user educationCommunication
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for documentation and collaboration.Vendor Certifications
: Any certifications are highly valued and demonstrate your commitment to professional growth.
Experience & Qualifications
The essentials for success
~2 Years experience:
Proven experience in a similar role with an excellent foundational understanding of IT principles and practical applications.
Project Experience:
Demonstrated ability to work in project teams where you can independently manage your tasks and deliverables.
Delivery Methodologies:
Comfortable working within both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
Vendor Relationships:
Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, ensuring successful project outcomes.
The nice to haves
System Design & Presentation:
Experience in scoping, developing, and presenting IT technology solutions.
Security Expertise:
Certification or experience in a cyber security discipline.
Knowledge Sharing and/or Teaching Experience:
Previous experience educating staff/user groups on technology. Inc, what it is, how to use it, the importance of it etc
