People & Culture Advisor

Join a purpose-led organisation making a difference to children, families, and communities. Child Australia is seeking a supportive and proactive People & Culture Advisor who is passionate about building capable, confident leaders and shaping a positive workplace culture.

About the Role

In this hands-on generalist role, you will partner with Service and Program Leaders, Operational Leads, and Executive Directors to provide trusted HR advice across onboarding, performance, employment relations, investigations, training, and workforce planning.

What You'll Be Doing


• Coach leaders through induction, performance, probation, and people management.


• Provide clear award (Children's Services Award 2010), NES and FairWork legislation advice with confidence and care.


• Lead and support workplace investigations.


• Develop and deliver training that builds capability and supports leaders.


• Contribute to wellbeing, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.

About You

You will have solid experience in dealing with Employment Relations matters and a proactive approach to identifying workforce trends, create training to develop our emerging leaders and mitigate risk. You'll bring:


• Degree qualification in Human Resources or Psychology with equivalent work experience in Human Resources


• Minimum 2 years in an advisory-level HR role


• Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, Awards & NES


• Experience coaching leaders and supporting investigations


• Excellent communication, empathy and relationship-building skills


• Confidence working autonomously and managing competing priorities


• Experience in early childhood, education, OSHC, aged care or NDIS (desirable)
