Office and Event Manager

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Ripple Opportunities Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Snow Medical Research Foundation (Snow Medical) is one of Australia's largest philanthropic foundations backing science. It has invested over $260M to support the next generation of biomedical leaders.

Snow Medical breaks researchers out of the short-term funding cycle that holds so many back. With the time, resources and freedom to focus on science, bold ideas have the space to take shape - tackling genomics, immunology, cancer, neuroscience and structural biology, and driving the advances that spark the next generation of discoveries and innovations.

Ripple Opportunities is working with Snow Medical to help them find their next Office and Event Manager (Social Impact). Could it be you?

Why you might love job:

You'll be at the heart of a foundation that's reimagining how philanthropy fuels science. This isn't your average coordinator role — it's the engine room of a team that thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and impact. You'll make the office hum, keep projects moving, and help the Snow Medical crew (and their brilliant researchers) stay focused on what matters: changing the future of medicine.

Our impact in action: Snow Medical invests where traditional funding often falls short — backing visionary researchers to pursue bold ideas and long-term impact. With the Snow Fellowship program, and major initiatives like the Snow Centre for Immune Health and Snow Vision Accelerator, Snow Medical is creating the conditions for discoveries that could transform medicine. Joining Snow Medical as Office & Events Manager is more than keeping the wheels turning; it's helping power discoveries that could truly shift the landscape of medicine.

As Office & Events Manager, you'll be the ops powerhouse behind a foundation betting big on the future of science. One day you'll smooth the daily flow of the office, the next you'll help deliver events that bring brilliant minds together. You'll jump between details - tech hiccups, travel plans, meeting prep, and big moments - conferences, committee sessions, partner engagement. You're the organiser, connector and problem-solver who keeps things sharp and seamless, so the team can stay locked on bold goals and breakthroughs.

Your style: You're driven by purpose and thrive on balancing variety with beautiful organisation that brings calm for the team. You love being the connector — the one who makes sure people, projects and details line up so the big vision can move forward. You're approachable and adaptable — equally confident wrangling schedules and suppliers as you are welcoming world-class researchers and partners. A natural relationship-builder, you bring initiative and momentum, becoming the glue that holds a bold, ambitious team together.

How we work: Snow Medical is a tight-knit team with bold ambitions. Guided by values of excellence, inspiration, integrity, generosity and diversity, the culture is collaborative and hands-on. People bring different skills and backgrounds, pitch in where it counts, and share the load. It's a place where everyone backs each other and adapts quickly; united by a mission to power research that can change lives.

Full-time, impact at the centre: Permanent role based at Snow Medical's Sydney HQ (with some travel to national events). Salary will be aligned with market rates and discussed based on experience. You'll work closely with the Snow Medical team and partners across Australia. Full working rights in Australia required.

What's involved:

The balance of work will shift over time but to start:

30% Office & Operations

Keep the day-to-day humming — from facilities, IT and suppliers to WHS standards. You'll make sure the Sydney HQ feels sharp, welcoming and efficient, while also levelling up how things get done: creating smart new processes and refining the old so the team can perform at its best. You know your way around Microsoft Office, , and a good naming convention — and when things get stuck, you're not afraid to pick up the phone and sort it. Part air-traffic control, part vibe-keeper, you're the steady hand that keeps the team moving and the systems singing in tune.

20% Team Administration Support

Be the team's anchor — keeping calendars aligned, agendas prepped and committees running to plan. You'll keep information moving too, managing shared inboxes and posting content from the team across our channels. Details stay tight, comms stay clear, and nothing slips through the cracks. You'll also jump in across the team when the moment calls for it — whether that's sending a nudge, booking a room, or helping turn a "we should do that" into a "done."

50% Events & Communications

Bring big moments to life — from the annual Snow Fellows Conference to flagship events across Australia. Booking venues? Sorted. AV wrangling? Nailed. Run sheets, speaker follow-ups and ensuring the lights go down just right? You've got it. Beyond events, you'll keep Snow Medical and our network on the radar — sharing milestones and moments across our communication and social channels. Whether you're leading or part of the crew, you'll make sure every detail lands — creating experiences that cement Snow Medical's reputation and spark the conversations that drive science, collaboration and bold ideas forward.

If any of the above resonated with you but you don't tick every box:

You should throw your hat in the ring.

You might not have every checkbox ticked - but if you're curious, quick to build new skills and can share how your existing skills and experience will translate into this context, we'd love to hear from you
