Operations Coordinator – Waste Management (Run Planning & Field Coordination)

Bin Boy and Barton Waste Management is a long-standing, family-operated business delivering dependable waste solutions backed by strong service standards. We're seeking a capable and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to take ownership of daily run planning, field coordination, and communication between our service team and leadership.

You'll work closely with the Director and act as a key operational link — helping manage routes, monitor job status, coordinate site access, and ensure smooth daily execution across our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and dispatch daily runs, working directly with the Director and gradually taking over full ownership

  • Advise the service team on route priorities and assist with day-to-day job coordination

  • Monitor and action missed or urgent jobs, ensuring quick and appropriate resolution

  • Coordinate bin deliveries, pickups, and exchanges, ensuring access keys, codes, or fobs are correctly allocated

  • Use Wastedge to manage bookings, update statuses, and track service flow across all operational areas

  • Act as the link between service staff and leadership, helping streamline decision-making and reduce reliance on upper management for routine matters

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience using Wastedge (strongly preferred)

  • Background in waste, transport, or logistics coordination

  • Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical working style

  • Confident communicator with the ability to guide others and make informed decisions

  • Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and committed to follow-through

  • A truck licence or field operations background is highly regarded
