We currently have a vacancy for an Import Coordinator within our Perth Imports Team. This position will be responsible for coordinating the Import function from receipt of an order through to delivery with a focus on Air and Domestic, FCL, LCL and Breakbulk shipments.

The fundamental responsibilities of this role include:

  • Liaising with customers and overseas offices to coordinate import enquiries and shipments
  • Registering import shipments in Cargowise (CW1) and coordinating import clearance formalities with PFS Customs Brokers
  • Coordinating AQIS inspections and formalities
  • Proactively monitoring progress of customs and quarantine clearance via ICS and communicating the outcome to the customer
  • Coordinating deliveries of customs released freight to destination and de-hire containers to empty depots
  • Preparing & issuing RFQ's to internal & external customers
  • Completing billing process; timely and accurately coding of supplier's invoices and preparing files for handover to PFS Accounts as per contracted rate agreements
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
  • Participating in general office tasks as required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years' experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminology
  • Current exposure to & use of CW1
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High level customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Customs ICS and Cargowise (CW1) computer systems
  • Customer Service experience
  • Current Import air operations capability
  • Quoting experience
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence
