Job Description: Rolesand Responsibilities:· Expertise in RDBMS S/W installation, databaseserver builds, applying patches, upgrading, configuring, trouble shooting ofSQL SERVER 2008R2/2012/2014/2016· Expertise in DisasterRecovery plans by configuring AlwaysOn, Clustering, Log -shipping, Mirroring andReplication (Snapshot and Transactional).· Implementing HighAvailability in SQL 2012/2016 by configuring AlwaysOn Availability groupsacross Windows Server Failover Clustering.· Expertise knowledge indatabase encryption· Expertise in database Back Up, Restore,Recovery, Updating statistics, Rebuilding and Reorganizingindexes, Defrag Tables, Replication, Linked Servers and Database MaintenancePlan.· Monitoring Instances,Configuring and Enabling alerts using Quest Foglight/App Dynamics  or anyother 3rd part tool.· Experience in queryoptimization and performance tuning. Experience in using SQL Profiler,Execution Plan, Performance Monitor and DBCC Commands.· Experience inPowerShell or SSIS to automate the day to day activities andtroubleshoot/enhance the existing scripts.· Monitoring/TroubleshootingLog shipping /DB Replication/Always ON.· Respond andTroubleshoot database related problems reported by customers.· Automate the routinetasks.· Preparing Knowledgearticles and sharing with the team on day to day activities.· Preparing Knowledgearticles and sharing with the team on day to day activities. Skills /Competencies:     Preferred:·       Providing24X7 Support and maintenance to all the Database Instances of OLTP/OLAP.  Additional Skills:·       Strong Communication & Management skillsand, expertise in Onsite/offshore and Client coordination.·       Excellentcustomer interfacing skills.
