MBL Food Service is a leader in custom blending, food ingredients and formulations, food packaging and equipment supplies to the food industry.

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking to appoint a highly organised and confident Customer Service/ Retail Specialist / Customer Experience Specialist to join our Customer Service Team at MBL, Athol Park. You will play an integral role in delivering high quality results for our members and customers.

A typical day could see you providing a great member and customer experience via our retail showroom, over the phone or via email. The role has a great variety of daily responsibilities such as taking orders, serving customers, maintaining our awesome showroom and building relationships with our member base.

We deal in the food industry and have an in-house product development team... this means there's no shortage of great food and new flavors to sample What better way is there to gain product knowledge?

About the role:

The successful candidate will have previous retail sales experience, possess an excellent phone manner, have good computer literacy skills and strong attention to detail. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ideally have previous experience working within food production or the packaging industry.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Proven experience in retail sales.
  • Provide a high level of customer service in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Responding to phone queries and processing sales orders via phone, web or purchase orders).
  • Input orders into the ERP and Mobile Sales App with accuracy.
  • Replenish shelves and merchandise display stands as required.
  • Stock management and rotation
  • Assist members and customers in the retail showroom by taking orders, completing the sale including invoice.
  • Handle customer payments by the way of cash & EFT.
  • Other relevant duties as required.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in the Customer Service field.
  • A passion for delivering a genuine sales and shopping experience.
  • Ideally have had Food Retailing experience (not essential).
  • Friendly & Approachable personality
  • Attention to detail with good phone manners
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Accurate computer and data entry skills
  • Have a positive "can-do" attitude to fit in with our team and culture.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly
  • Focus on safe working environment

Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing will be required.
