About the role

Join the dynamic team at Bayside Furniture as a Wholesale Operations Manager. This full-time position is based in our Norlane, VIC location. As the Wholesale Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operations of our warehousing, storage and distribution functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our wholesale distribution centre, ensuring efficient workflows and timely order fulfilment
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of inventory, maintaining accurate records and optimising logistics
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the warehouse team, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Analyse data and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with exisiting customers and organise marketing strategy for new customers Australia wide to ensure sales growth
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to support the growth of the wholesale business

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse and / or distribution management role, preferably within the import and wholesale industry
  • Proven track record in the wholesale and marketing business
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in managing warehouse and office staff
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
