Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business and IT workflows to identify automation opportunities.
- Design, build, and maintain automation within ConnectWise, Intune, Datto RMM, and other ITSM/ticketing platforms.
- Design and maintain RMM automations that apply safe, auditable changes triggered by health alerts, telemetry, or ticket states (create/assign, run remediation, verify, rollback if needed).
- Build and maintain API integrations across ConnectWise Manage, Datto RMM, Microsoft Intune/Graph, and procurement/mobility platforms, with proper authentication, retry, and monitoring patterns.
- Create workflows to streamline ticket triage, escalation, SLA management, reporting, and customer communications.
- Standardise and document automation processes for consistency across teams.
- Work with Operations and Sales to ensure workflows support end-to-end service delivery, from provisioning through to support.
- Develop dashboards and reports for workflow performance, customer satisfaction, and SLA compliance.
- Ensure automations are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry standards (ITIL, ISO27001, Telstra requirements).
- Champion automation across the business, identifying new opportunities for efficiency and scale.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications in ITSM, automation, or scripting highly regarded.
- Experience in a similar role (Automation Engineer, Systems Engineer, or ITSM Specialist).
- Strong knowledge of ticketing/ITSM systems (ConnectWise required, ServiceNow/Jira/Zendesk a plus).
- Experience with automation and integration platforms (Microsoft Power Automate, n8n, Zapier, or equivalent).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud services.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and workflow governance.
Skills & Attribute
- Experience working with telecommunications/mobility services and device lifecycle automation.
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics for ticketing and operations.
- Exposure to RPA (Robotic Process Automation) platforms.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate business needs into automation solutions.
- Strong PowerShell skills (modules, error handling, idempotency), REST APIs (Graph), and secure secret handling.
- Proficiency in API integrations and scripting.
- Understanding of Intune, Datto RMM, Workspace ONE, or other unified endpoint management solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
