Casual Disability Support Worker (Mental Health)

Are you someone who loves helping others and making a real difference in people's lives?

Wattle Tree Support Services is a Registered NDIS Provider, offering innovative Disability Support Services in the Maryborough VIC area

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis. This role involves supporting people living with psychosocial disabilities within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) setting. You will work alongside participants to promote independence, wellbeing, and community participation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting people with daily living tasks (meals, household duties, personal care as needed).
  • Encouraging independence, skills, and confidence.
  • Helping people stay connected with their community and enjoy activities they love.
  • Following support plans and keeping simple, accurate records

What we're looking for:

  • Someone caring, patient, down-to-earth and possess a friendly disposition.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Must possess a high level of trust, honest and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants
  • Flexibility to work across days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a disability support worker role or in a similar position (essential)
  • Cert III/IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent (essential)
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid & CPR.
  • Driver's licence, reliable car and comprehensive car insurance.
  • Effective communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills
  • Sound and effective time management skills
