  • Summary of Role

The Production Operator is responsible for:

  • Assisting GI capsulation supervisor to deliver the daily & weekly planned production quantities.
  • Assisting GI capsulation supervisor to maintain the capsulation machine efficiency to the level expected.
  • Contributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.
  • Conducting work in a safe manner, adhering to quality compliance requirements and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and innovation.

## Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintains machine efficiency
  • Maintains required material levels during the machine operations (Powder, liquid & parts)
  • Maintains attention to detail of the capsules being manufactured
  • Attends to all the relevant quality related paperwork & data collection paperwork are completed in timely & accurate manner.
  • Informs GI capsulation supervisor about any machine malfunction, quality issue which may affect quality or capacity of the capsules.
  • Follows waste management principles.

Key Relationships (internal and external)

  • Within the GI capsulation team
  • Moulding department, Glass department, composite manufacturing department, Packing department, Engineering department, QA Lab

Job Environment

  • The position is located at Bayswater
  • Working hours: 76 hours/ 10 days per fortnight
  • Morning or afternoon shift with prior arrangement

Essential Qualification/ Experience

  • Experience in machine operating
  • Minimum year 12 secondary education completed

  • Good understanding of GI capsulation machines upon completion of the probationary period & ability to operate GI capsulation machine with minimum supervision.
