Production/Supply Chain Planner

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production/Supply Chain Planner to join our dynamic team. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate supply and production planning systems to ensure RFI meets customer demand. You'll maintain planning parameters, product structures, work order management, and inventory control, as well as provide guidance and support to the production group, helping deliver exceptional internal customer service across the business.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will drive production scheduling, inventory accuracy, and demand/supply planning, supporting our manufacturing operations in a high mix/low volume environment.

The Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain product structures and routing data, ensuring accuracy in product costing and planning within the ERP system

  • Manage production planning processes, from work order creation to closure, and communicate schedule updates as needed

  • Oversee allocations and shipments for sales and transfer orders

  • Review rough cut capacity plans and advise on necessary changes to the production management team

  • Coordinate inventory control, demand and supply planning, and data improvement initiatives

  • Facilitate demand/supply flows, including inwards and outwards shipments for MTS/MTO & ETO products

  • Support manufacturing teams by resolving production issues, quoting lead times, and maintaining available-to-promise (ATP) data

  • Liaise with purchasing, vendors, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and operational excellence

About You

  • Previous experience in production and/or supply chain planning within a busy, high transaction environment

  • Background in customer service or customer-facing roles

  • Proven track record in process improvement and systems thinking

  • Experience with ERP systems and in production/inventory data management (highly regarded)

  • Strong computer literacy and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach

  • High standards in quality, customer service, and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrates RFI values with integrity, creativity, and a can-do attitude
