Disability Support Worker

We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience providing person-centered support and be comfortable working in a home environment with pets.
About the Role
You will be supporting participants in their daily lives, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. Duties may include:
- Assisting with manual handling and mobility support
- Providing support for individuals with seizure management plans
- Delivering personal care (highly desirable)
- Facilitating community access and engagement (highly desirable)
- Working around pets such as dogs and cats
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Current Manual Handling and Seizure Training
- Experience with personal care and community access
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including day and sleepover shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, reliable, and proactive attitude
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
Work Location: In person
