Bella Venezia, an iconic, multi-award-winning restaurant on the Mooloolaba Esplanade, is renowned for its exceptional dining and internationally recognised wine program. With over 550 labels and 50 wines by the glass, our list celebrates Italian classics, benchmark Australian producers, and global icons.

As part of the Bella Venezia Group, we're expanding our portfolio of award-winning venues — including our newest opening, Fish House Steak & Grill Mooloolaba — creating clear career pathways for ambitious hospitality professionals.

We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our group and be part of this next chapter of growth.


About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Guide guests through unforgettable wine experiences and food pairings.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support our evolving list.
  • Collaborate in regular tastings with our Wine Director and suppliers.
  • Oversee inventory control to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
  • Deliver engaging staff training and mentoring to raise wine service standards across the group.
  • Support bar and floor teams as needed to ensure seamless service.
  • Champion our internationally acclaimed wine culture across venues

Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Italian wines plus Australian/international benchmarks.
  • WSET 1–3 (or equivalent) highly regarded; hands-on sommelier experience valued.
  • Professional, adaptable, and thrives in a busy, high-energy environment.
  • A natural storyteller with a passion for hospitality.
