About the role

RXT Connect' is seeking an experienced Electronic Infrastructure and Network Technician to join our team in Southbank, Victoria. This full-time role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our electronic infrastructure and network systems, playing a vital part in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our security services. You will spend most of your time on-site and be required to liaise with our existing teams in the office, on the road and our other contractors.

What you'll be doing

  • Install and diagnose structured network cabling
  • Install, configure and maintain electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, alarms and other integrated technologies
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues with our in-house team
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to coordinate maintenance and upgrades
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and reporting on all work undertaken
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of infrastructure upgrades and expansions
  • Be an excellent team player

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualification in electronics, IT or a related discipline

  • Registered Cablers Endorsement

  • Victorian Security License
  • EWP License (not critical)
  • IT Network experience (will provide further training)
  • Favorable experience with Bosch or Inner Range Controllers (will provide further training)
  • CCTV experience (will provide further training)
  • Valid drivers license
  • 3-5 years' experience as an Electronic Technician or Network Administrator
  • Demonstrated expertise in the installation, configuration and maintenance of electronic security systems and cabling infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of network protocols, hardware and software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work with a commitment to continuous learning
