National Business Development Manager – Greendeal

About the Role

Greendeal is seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Business Development Manager to take on a newly created leadership role. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving profitability by expanding our client base, exploring new markets, and optimising business operations.

This is a career-defining opportunity to play a pivotal role in accelerating Greendeal's growth in solar, heat pumps, and emerging certificate markets, while collaborating with international teams and our partner business, OSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Growth: Lead strategies to expand Greendeal's client base and increase market share in solar and heat pumps, with a focus on STCs.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee IT platforms and support teams to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Sales Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate the sales team, setting performance goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Customer Experience: Drive customer service initiatives to strengthen satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Software Development: Provide feedback to IT teams, oversee updates, and ensure systems align with business needs.
  • Compliance & Risk: Lead compliance monitoring, regulatory adherence, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Market Expansion: Develop new certificate markets in Australia, including ESCs, VEECs, and PRCs.
  • Global Integration: Collaborate with U.S. and European teams to align international rebate structures and systems.
  • Collaboration with OSW: Work with OSW on joint initiatives to increase customer acquisition and enhance experiences.
  • Marketing & Loyalty: Oversee marketing campaigns, referral programs, and loyalty initiatives to drive customer retention.
  • Market Intelligence: Lead competitor and market analysis to refine product offerings, software, and pricing strategies.

About You

We are looking for a commercially savvy leader with strong solar industry experience and a proven track record in business development, account management, and sales leadership.

You will bring:

  • Solar industry or solar retailing experience (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in managing key accounts and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Strong sales leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
