Lead with Purpose – Leisure and Lifestyle Team Leader
At UnitingSA Wesley House Residential Aged Care, we're looking for a Leisure and Lifestyle Team Leader with a heart for aged care and a passion for leadership to join our incredible team.
This role is all about bringing joy, connection, and purpose to the lives of our residents by creating meaningful, personalised social, physical, and leisure activities that meet their unique needs and preferences. Your leadership will inspire and guide a team of passionate Leisure and Lifestyle Officers and volunteers, ensuring our residents experience the highest standard of care and engagement.
By fostering an environment of warmth and respect, you'll help our residents live their lives to the fullest and maintain their independence in every way possible.
What Your Day Might Look Like:
- Lead and support a dedicated team of Leisure and Lifestyle Officers and volunteers, empowering them to bring joy and meaning to each resident's day.
- Create and implement a weekly calendar of activities that cater to all levels of physical and cognitive abilities, ensuring everyone has the chance to participate.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, nursing staff, and other team members to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
- Build strong, caring relationships with residents and their families, ensuring activities are shaped around their personal preferences, cultural values, and life histories.
- Foster an environment where every resident feels valued, respected, and included through the leisure programs you help lead.

What We Offer:
- Salary Packaging: Up to $15,900 tax-free plus $2,650 annually via Meal and Entertainment Card, and novated vehicle leasing.

This role reports to our Lifestyle Manager, Renee Farrell, who has a deep commitment to providing the best possible care for our residents. Renee is passionate about fostering a positive and supportive environment where everyone's contributions are valued. What Qualities Is Renee Looking For?

- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
What You'll Bring:
- Certificate IV in Health and Leisure (or working towards it) and/or extensive relevant experience.
- Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Previous experience in aged care and an understanding of accreditation and legislation is highly desirable.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and supervisory skills.
- A compassionate, engaging, and proactive approach to supporting residents.
