Role Purpose -

This role will be based in Australia and is part of the Compliance team of the Pine Labs Group – comprising the Issuance, Acquiring, Consumer and other business lines. The role focuses on the Australian regulatory requirements of Qwikcilver Solutions Pty Ltd ("QSPL") and supports the compliance activities internationally including the regulated businesses in Singapore and Malaysia. The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer for the international business ("CCO").

Responsibilities we entrust you with -

Compliance Advice

  • Drive and provide guidance, together with the CCO, on proper application and interpretation of regulatory requirements including regulations in Australia and other countries:
  • Advising on new regulatory requirements and regulatory changes
  • Responding to regulatory consultations by coordinating responses with stakeholders
  • Proactively identifying areas of regulatory concerns and ownerships.
  • Develop and embed appropriate AML/ CFT and sanctions policies and procedures to meet AUSTRAC and card scheme requirements for QSPL.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate policies and procedures needed for the Australian business for QSPL – these include Conduct and Disclosure, Representatives Training, Complaints Management, and are not limited to policies and procedures owned by Compliance. This would also consider upcoming regulatory changes on payment technology and enablement services, payment initiation and facilitation services when finalised.
  • Develop compliance related training materials and provide the training for QSPL, that is also scalable with other Pine Labs entities.

Compliance Monitoring

  • Work with the CCO to develop compliance monitoring plans for regulated Pine Labs entities, with focus given to QSPL.
  • Execute compliance monitoring together with the international compliance team, accordingly to monitoring plans and monitoring procedures established, agree compliance actions with stakeholders, and track closure of the actions.

Regulatory relationship for Pine Labs entities:

  • Act as the Responsible Manager for QSPL.
  • Support the CCO in regulatory liaisons internationally. Serves as the key regulatory contact for ASIC and AUSTRAC, and support the CCO to strategically position QSPL as a trusted entity, and key stakeholder in regulatory consultations.
  • Ensuring regulatory submissions internationally, including for Australia as the priority, demonstrate compliance, and are timely addressed.
  • Drive and ensure regulatory correspondences and submissions are documented for good governance

What matters in this role -

  • Degree/Postgraduate/Professional qualification in Finance, Law, Risk Management, Business, Economics or Information Technology or other relevant qualifications.
  • More than 7 years of compliance experience preferably in payment services related areas (preferably on stored value facilities issuance)
  • Good knowledge of risk management practices
