About Canaan Lawyers

We are a boutique law firm on Collins Street, focusing on litigation (civil, family, and criminal law) as well as commercial law. Established in 2006, we have been well-known for providing fixed costs, excelling in all kinds of litigation, outstanding customer service, being good at complex commercial deals, and working with many high-profile Chinese companies' clients (big franchises and listed companies) and individuals such as councilors and government officials.

We believe that all Asians have the potential to achieve greatness in Australia. However, there are shared struggles amongst the Asian community in Australia due to language and cultural barriers, lack of network, local knowledge, and confidence, which deter their path to success. The Leaders of Tomorrow Internship offers students and graduates the opportunity to experience work and life at Canaan Lawyers and work alongside experienced professionals to develop new skills and qualities that will be valuable for their future careers.

The internship is for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 12 weeks. As an intern, you will be able to apply what you have learned at school and through personal experience to a real-life challenge. Most importantly, you will play a part in improving the Chinese-Australians' legal knowledge because we pride ourselves in helping the Chinese community to succeed and be the leading legal educator in Australia.

Exceptionally, an internship may be extended to prospective part-time employment.
