About the Role

The Therapeutic Carer within Parkerville's Our Way Home program is responsible for the holistic, therapeutic and trauma informed day to day care of Parkerville clients. The carer is responsible for supporting in the development maintenance, and review of individual children's My Plans, connection plans and cultural plans in line with Parkerville CYC Our Way Home processes, policies, care plans and individually assessed needs.

So where does the Therapeutic Carer slot in?

This role will support the Coordinator in maintaining a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for clients residing within the Our Way Home Program. The role is required to provide direct care to the clients within the service and to implement and support actions with care plans. This role may act autonomously under the direction for the Therapeutic Team Leader. This role may offer support and direction to Support Workers.
