Our client is a leader in sustainable timber processing and manufacturing supplying its high - quality products into markets around Australia and internationally. We are now seeking a skilled manager to oversee our state - of - the - art downstream production facility. The location will appeal to applicants seeking a family - friendly working and living environment.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing the kiln and boiler operations.
- Maximising yield from the processing operations.
- Maintaining production standards at the highest level.
- Adherence to WHS, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Leading and developing the team
- Establishiing a safety - first culture across the site.
To be successful in your application you must demonstrate:
- Leadership experience in timber manufacturing.
- Technical understanding of kiln operations
- Problem - solving skills
- Initiative, drive and the capacity to make decisions.
- A strong focus on safety
- A track record of process improvement in a manufacturing environment
