About The Role
As a Service Lead in Community, you'll lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred services that empower people with disabilities to live inclusive and meaningful lives. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with customers, families, and staff to create a positive and inclusive environment.

What You'll Be Doing And What You'll Bring
You'll be responsible for guiding and mentoring your team, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with Aruma's values. You'll also play a key role in service development, compliance, and continuous improvement.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Experienced & Qualified: Minimum 3 years in disability services with a relevant qualification in Individual Support or related field
  • Strong Communicator: Builds trust through clear communication and strong people skills
  • Team-Oriented & Independent: Works collaboratively while confidently managing tasks solo
  • Respectful & Values-Driven: Patient, inclusive, and committed to human rights-based, person-centred approaches
  • Proactive & Reliable: Organised, dependable, and gets on with the job
  • Willing to Learn: Open to feedback and continuous development
  • Emotionally Intelligent: Brings life experience and empathy to participant and team interactions
  • Leadership-Ready: Skilled in mentoring staff, managing service delivery, and engaging families
  • Compliance-Focused: Understands safeguarding, NDIS standards, and legislative requirements — with support from us every step of the way
