We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Engineer
with a strong background in industrial maintenance and leadership. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical mechanical operations while mentoring a skilled team, ensuring asset reliability, and contributing to long-term site transition planning.

Loy Yang, Traralgon, Victoria

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and contractors
  • Supervise mechanical maintenance of turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement teams
  • Support asset reliability and plant performance improvements
  • Contribute to long-term site transition and decommissioning planning

What We're Looking For

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Graduate Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial environments
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Sound knowledge of OHS regulations and safe work practices
  • Proficiency with maintenance systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
