About the Role
Support the delivery of injury prevention and workers compensation initiatives across multiple NSW businesses with a strong focus on psychosocial risk management and building mentally healthy workplaces. Drive employer engagement activities, facilitate the use of prevention tools and resources, and assist in identifying practical improvement opportunities to make the complex simple for NSW workplaces. Engage in education with to build their capability in risk mitigation, with a particular emphasis on identifying and managing psychosocial hazards. You will help employers understand how psychosocial risks play out in the workplace, apply effective controls, and establish governance approaches that lead to sustainable improvements. The role requires the ability to clearly articulate the value of investing in mentally healthy workplaces and to contribute to the development of practical tools that support proactive psychosocial risk management.

Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as an
Prevention Advisor
you will:
- Support delivery of the prevention strategy to establish injury prevention initiatives for employers including educating employers on their key issues and advising strategies or programs to address and improve performance.
- Identify and recommend evidence-based injury prevention and intervention strategies which have proved successful for employers in similar circumstances.
- Assist employers to design and implement governance processes that embed mentally healthy workplace practices. Conduct analysis of injury performance and organizational data to inform and shape tailored prevention recommendations.
- Support engagement activities with employers, including preparing materials, participating in meetings, and coordinating follow-ups.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of tools and resources that make psychosocial risk management practical and accessible for employers.
- Champion the business value of mentally healthy workplaces, helping employers translate psychosocial risk controls into better outcomes for people and organizations.
- Provide input to reports, case studies, and feedback loops, escalating complex issues to senior staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WHS principles and psychosocial risk management practices and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support consistent delivery of services across the portfolio.
Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in a WHS or injury prevention or psychosocial risk management role
- Qualifications or demonstrated understanding of managing psychosocial risk and mentally healthy workplaces.
- Demonstrated ability to support employer-focused initiatives and contribute to WHS improvement.
- Strong understanding of psychosocial hazards, practical controls, and organisational governance approaches
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Experience developing or implementing tools, frameworks, or training to support psychosocial risk prevention in workplaces.
