About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Reliability Support & Care Services. This is a casual role, providing flexible work options to suit your lifestyle. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Shifts available for immediate start in and around BRISBANE CITY TO THE REDLANDS

Various shifts available.

We are looking for workers to cover varied shifts around Brisbane and the South Side to the Redlands.   We hire as Casual.  Jobs are available with short notice.  The jobs vary from 1.5 to 4 hours.  They involve going to a client's home and doing light house cleaning or taking them out for appointments or shopping etc.  We are looking for workers that can be flexible and accept jobs on short notice.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing personalized care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and community engagement
  • Facilitating recreational and social activities to promote the wellbeing and inclusion of our clients
  • Advocating for the rights and needs of our clients, and collaborating with their families, carers, and healthcare providers
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest quality of care
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a relevant human services qualification or life experience
  • Demonstrated experience in providing person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities, including challenging behaviours
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities
  • A current First Aid certificate, CPR, and a valid driver's license with own vehicle
  • Worker Screening Card and Blue Card
