THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional who wants full-time hours (30–38 hours per week) with the flexibility of a casual contract.

We know you are an expert at what you do, so we offer a flexible work environment with the option to work from our Mascot office or Work From Home.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be managing the full function Accounts Payable process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end processing of high-volume invoices (coding, matching, and batching).
  • Preparing and processing weekly/monthly payment runs (EFT/BPay).
  • Complex supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Managing the AP inbox and resolving escalated internal and external queries.
  • Assisting with month-end closing procedures and accruals.
  • Expense claim management and credit card reconciliations.
  • Other finance related activities as required.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated and pro-active, have a can do attitude and be capable of working autonomously, especially when working from home.

Essential Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in Accounts Payable working end to end.
  • Have a high level of competency dealing with a manual and automatic transactional environment.
  • Working knowledge of MYOB is highly advantageous for this role.
  • High-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Be able to take on challenging duties as well as routine tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (you will be dealing with key stakeholders).
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
  • Have good working knowledge of IT systems.
  • Reliable internet connection and home office setup (if working remotely).

Visa Status: You must have valid Australian working rights. Working Holiday Visas (Subclass 417/462) are accepted and welcome.
