We are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to join our team in the heart of Canberra's CBD. About the Role:
As our Business Support Officer, you will be a key support to our operations team, ensuring smooth office management and the efficient handling of contracts. This is a permanent role, offering a competitive base salary and opportunities for growth and development. You will support the Canberra team as well as assisting the wider team nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with day-to-day functioning of the office, including procurement of supplies, facilities and vendor management.
Administer contracts, including preparation, review, and tracking of agreements.
Assist with onboarding new staff and maintaining employee records.
Support the Operations team with invoicing, expense management, and accounts payable/receivable.
Coordinate travel arrangements, events, and team activities.
Maintain and update company databases and filing systems.
Assist recruiters by preparing job postings and communicating with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Manage placements and extensions for permanent and contractors including contract renewals.
Monthly and ad hoc timesheet reporting including utilisation and leave reports and analysis.
About You:
Proven experience in an administrative role.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
A proactive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience in an office or facilities management role is a plus.
