About the Position

Are you eager to kickstart your career in Business Administration and gain a nationally recognised qualification?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated local resident to join our Tom Price team in January 2026 as a Business Administration Trainee

The Shire of Ashburton is offering an exciting entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of administrative tasks while completing a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Business Administration – fully supported for the right candidate.

Working as part of a dynamic team within the Corporate Services Directorate, you will assist with day-to-day office operation, learn essential business processes, and contribute to the smooth running of our organisation.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic about learning, organised, and is committed to delivering high quality work. You will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You must also be willing and able to successfully complete a Certificate IV in Business Administration within a 12-month period as part of this trainee opportunity. This position is ideal for recent school leavers, mature-age applicants, or anyone looking for a career change and eager to gain valuable experience in a collaborative environment, with access to generous leave entitlements and a competitive salary package.
