Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in Local Government infrastructure projects? We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to support the successful delivery of diverse civil infrastructure initiatives as part of a Local Council's Capital Works Program in South East Queensland.

About the Role:

In this contract role, you will be responsible for managing the planning and design phase of a broad range of infrastructure projects, including civil works, buildings, parks, water/wastewater, and marine infrastructure.

You'll be working in a collaborative team environment with limited direction, managing external consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with strategic community and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project design and development across multiple capital works projects
  • Engage and manage external consultants and contractors
  • Provide contract and project administration support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
  • Collaborate across internal teams and ensure alignment with corporate and community plans

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure projects within a Local Government or similar public sector environment
  • Proven track record in delivering complex civil and community infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of contract management and project delivery processes
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with public tendering and procurement processes
