The Retail Manageris responsible for leading and executing retail engagement strategies to enhance income, asset value, retailer satisfaction, and the customer experience. Managing a portfolio of retailers, this role provides expert advice on retail mix, leasing, financial performance, and centre operations. Acting as a key support to the Centre Manager, the Retail Manager plays a vital role in driving commercial outcomes and strategic goals.
Please note this a 12month fixed term contract ending on 01/01/2027
Key Responsibilities:- People Leadership: Manage team performance, development, compliance, and budgeting while fostering a strong leadership culture.
- Retailer & Tenant Management: Build strong retailer relationships, oversee tenancy administration, and implement support strategies to improve sales and foot traffic.
- Lease Management: Handle lease variations, storage licenses, and ensure all lease obligations and documentation are maintained and compliant.
- Centre Operations: Enhance centre presentation, collaborate with Guest Experience and Marketing teams, and resolve retailer operational issues.
- Financial & Reporting: Complete sales and financial reporting, manage controlled debt, payment plans, legal processes, and explore retail media income opportunities.
- Customer Service & Coordination: Lead retailer onboarding, ensure policy compliance, manage feedback, and support customer experience initiatives.
Liaises with tenants, centre management, marketing, leasing, finance, development, and joint venture partners.
Experience & Skills Required:- Background in retail or property management
- Proven ability to manage retailer relationships and commercial outcomes
- Strong financial, reporting, and compliance skills
- Knowledge of retail legislation and leasing
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational abilities
- Tertiary qualification desirable
