Palm Lake Resort, Toowoomba are seeking a Permanent Part time Cleaner / Kitchen Hand to assist our Chef in our onsite restaurant kitchen and maintain the presentation of our prestigious resort facilities, covering 37.5 hours across a Monday to Friday Roster. The shifts will be across Lunch & Dinner service where you will assist the chef in food preparation for meals and desserts, cleaning and plating dishes.

There are split shifts in between meal service where you will provide a maintenance cleaning schedule across the resorts facilities maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining common areas such as the clubhouse, pool room, office, hairdresser, gym, craft room, clubhouse, and library;
  • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and rubbish removal;
  • Ensuring toilet facilities are cleaned to a hygienic standard;
  • Cleaning internal windows and ensuring equipment like refrigerators and microwaves are spotless;
  • Assist in preparation of foods with meal service, including cutting peeling/ washing;
  • Cleaning dishes, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas;
  • Tidying kitchen areas, including emptying dishwashers and wiping surfaces;
  • Replenishing supplies such as coffee, tea, and other consumables.
  • Identifying and eliminating hazards, such as slippery floors or obstacles, to ensure safety.
  • Cleaning stock and display homes for potential purchasers.

  • Experience in maintaining Safe Food Handling practices;
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen and meal preparation;
  • Ability to work independently and manage a cleaning schedule effectively;
