About the opportunity:

The Senior Procurement Officer is accountable to the Manager Procurement and Contracts for the provision of timely, value for money procurement and contract management services to Super SA. Specifically, the role contributes to the development, delivery, maintenance, implementation, and compliance with the Department of Treasury and Finance's Procurement and Contract Management policies and procedures.

We are looking to grow our team with a Senior Procurement Officer who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end (source to contract) procurement activities. This will include the preparation of procurement documentation, including tender documentation, standard agreements, along with conducting evaluations, risk assessments and negotiation processes.

The role will provide you with an opportunity to work in a dynamic workplace, grow and maintain key stakeholder relationships and provide advice to staff on policy, procedures, and procurement processes across varied activities, including Brand and Marketing, Financial Services, Risk/Compliance and Customer Operations.

To be successful, you must address the selection criteria below in a cover letter:

  • Proven ability to autonomously develop and review acquisition plans, tender packages, specifications and evaluation plans.
  • Sound knowledge of tender evaluation processes, commercial negotiation, contract administration, contract management and risk assessment techniques,
  • Demonstrated ability using a Procurement & Contract Management System (or equivalent) and data analytics to achieve procurement process and system efficiencies.
  • Experience in the establishment of procurement contracts across all stages including needs identification, planning, preparation of documentation, evaluation, negotiation and contract establishment
  • Experience in managing and maintaining business systems and central registers that support procurement and contract management processes and reporting, including Procurement Activity and Reporting System (PARS) and Financial Statement Reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders and working towards encouraging best practice procurement practices, outcomes and value for money.

Remuneration

ASO6 – $98,478 min - $104,165 max per annum, plus superannuation
