As a Procurement Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting end-to-end procurement activities across multiple divisions. This includes assisting with sourcing and supplier engagement, participating in negotiations to establish commercial agreements, and contributing to contract administration and reporting. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, source and analyse market data, and identify potential risks and opportunities. Your focus will be on ensuring procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organisational goals.
In addition, you will:
- Run competitive tenders and assist in the supplier evaluation process
- Develop category management plans, identify opportunities for improvement, resolve issues, monitor supplier performance and negotiate contract variations to enhance business value
- Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their procurement career. You'll be a team player who's comfortable supporting a range of stakeholders and contributing to day-to-day procurement tasks.
You'll also bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Procurement, or related discipline (or currently studying).
- 2-4 years' experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- A good understanding of procurement processes, tendering, and contract basics.
- Effective communication skills and the confidence to engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with procurement systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- CIPS certification or working toward it (highly regarded).
