Minor Works Manager

We are seeking an experienced Minor Works Manager to work in the HVAC industry in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engineering and sales activities for minor projects, quoting, managing a team of Project Managers, Engineers, Subcontractors, and overseeing project delivery from proposal through completion. This role acts as the main contact for all divisional activity and ensures quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Tender/estimate/negotiate minor works upgrades to new and existing clients.
- Project management of major projects including procurement, resource management, delivery of the works in line with client expectations and cost control.
- This role will be required to support and deliver the monthly and annual budgets along with P&L support.
- Undertake monthly, cost to completes on all projects no later than the 3rd week of each month in line with BU budget and KPIs.
- Manage the administration support to the business as required, eg, costs and revenue processes.
- Daily use and management of our companies ERP system.
- Review and familiarize yourself with the annual budget and set objectives to achieve.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Always maintain a high level of customer service.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience running a team in a similar role within the HVAC industry, with a focus on minor work projects.
- Proven experience in quoting and managing minor work projects in the HVAC industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Code of Australia, especially BCA section J5 along with Australian Standards, especially AS 1668 part 1 and part 2
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Business Management or Project Management.
- Relevant licenses, eg, QBCC, Restricted Electrical License.
