Principal Adviser Infrastructure Planning and Charging
position at Redland City Council
This role leads the strategic planning and financial framework that supports the city's growth, ensuring essential infrastructure such as roads, parks, and water networks are planned, funded, and delivered in line with Council's long-term vision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement infrastructure policies, programs, and innovative strategies
- Provide expert advice on planning and charging to Council, industry, and government stakeholders
- Lead and manage projects, budgets, and the Local Government Infrastructure Plan for long-term growth
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements while improving operational processes
- Apply highly developed leadership and management skills to coordinate, motivate, monitor performance, and foster the development of your team.
Skills and experience:
- Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to develop innovative infrastructure policies and strategies
- Strong knowledge of integrated infrastructure planning, statutory requirements, and relevant legislation
- Proven experience managing projects, systems, and processes effectively
- Highly developed leadership skills to motivate and coordinate high-performing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and achieve outcomes in complex environments.

Eligibility:
- You'll hold a degree qualification (with significant relevant experience) in either engineering, planning, accounting or a related discipline
- You'll have a a current C Class Driver's Licence
