About the Role
Due to expending opportunities, we are seeking a highly motivated Estimator to support construction and asphalt paving operations on major road construction projects across Queensland. This is a critical role requiring strong technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end management of the tendering and estimating process for assigned
- Develop detailed cost estimates, identification of risks and opportunities, and preparation of high-quality tender submission documents
- Ensure full compliance with the Conditions of Tendering, project specifications, and client requirements
- Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders such as operations, engineering, and commercial teams to develop competitive and accurate proposals.
- Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure all tender-related interactions, pipeline opportunities, and client communications are accurately recorded and monitored to support business development and strategic planning.
- Assist in the preparation of non-priced criteria response documentation, zero harm plans, safe work method statements and control plan
- Daily reporting on estimate progress and commitment to highlight potential problems in a timely manner
- Lead safety performance, promoting our Zero Harm culture across all teams
What You'll Bring:
- Relevant degree or certificate to Engineering, Construction or Project Management
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Previous experience in Civil Estimating in Roads, Airport pavement or similar
- Previous experience with Estimating packages ideally Benchmark
- Stakeholder communication with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with direct negotiation experience securing cost-effective third-party plant and labour services.
- Ability to attend remote sites and work away from home
