About the Role
Join the forefront of operational excellence as a Compliance Manager at Smart Energy, a leading home electrification retailer in Australia. With a strategic mind and a keen eye for risk management, this role is pivotal in sculpting a robust compliance framework that propels business objectives and aligns with the board's vision.
Smart Energy is seeking a proactive Compliance Manager in a full-time Permanent full-time position in our Byron Bay HQ Bring your analytical prowess to drive compliance integration within our business strategy.At Smart Energy we understand that compliance is not just about ticking boxes – it's about safeguarding our vision and facilitating sustainable business growth.
With a comprehensive understanding of how each team's role fits into the larger picture of compliance, our Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across the company's sales, installation, and internal operations. This role ensures internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations, oversees the maintenance and review of company compliance policies, and provides formal guidance and implementation to business units to support informed decision-making.
Please note: This role requires you to be onsite Monday - Friday in our vibrant Byron Bay office located in the industrial estate.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the management of the company's business risk matrix, aligning with the broader company strategy and goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies aligned with relevant Australian laws and solar industry regulations.
- Lead critical compliance domains including employment, Fair Work, payroll tax, sales, installations, customer areas and data privacy.
- Drive continuous improvement and meticulous process documentation in key compliance areas.
Influence positive change and uphold the integrity of customer service outcomes.
Compliance Leadership: Own and refine the business risk matrix, creating a proactive approach to managing potential threats and compliance issues.
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with the Managing Directors to ensure compliance structures support and drive the company strategy.
- Problem-Solving: Tackle real-world compliance challenges, delivering tangible solutions that exemplify your expertise.
- Process Perfection: Focus on documenting and improving compliance-related processes, ensuring clarity and efficiency across the board.
About You:
