The Station Grocer is a well-established, family-owned convenience and fuel retail business with 9 stores across the Northern Rivers. With nearly two decades of service behind us, we pride ourselves on delivering quality fuel, great products, and outstanding customer service — every day.

We're looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead our Ballina site.

Responsibilities:

  • A hands-on approach to managing and overseeing all aspects of the business' daily operations, including customer service, inventory management, and safety and security procedures
  • Providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Leading and developing a team of employees, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Fostering a positive work environment and culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and accountability
  • Implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Managing financial performance, including controlling expenses and maximising revenue opportunities

Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar managerial position within the retail sector, or in hospitality management
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of employees
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and maximise revenue opportunities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to complex issues
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position

Position Details:

  • Salary $65K-70K (based on experience)
  • Full time position
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
