GrainCorp is currently seeking an Area Planner, based at our Wagga Wagga site, to lead Operational planning activities to sustainably deliver maximum value for our Growers and Customers. We're looking for someone that's great at jigsaws – loves to solve problems.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Partnering with Area Managers and Site Managers to ensure adherence to plans, grain protection and optimal planning for our Southern NSW clusters.
- Working collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance and Grain Protection teams to ensure assets are allocated and utilised effectively, the right commodities and commodity grades are available within the cluster
- Contributing to the development of the weekly Site Opening Plan that best supports Growers and Customers and optimal allocation of sites.
- Provide continuous improvement suggestions to enhance planning and scheduling for the clusters within Southern NSW.
- Scheduling tasks at a site level including outloading, transfers, receivals, stocktakes, site hygiene, and grain protection.
- Routinely and regularly: managing timesheets, updating task status (adherence to plan); planning constraints; developing work plans for Week +1.
- Managing operational challenges in a timely and calm manner.
A background in scheduling or planning — even outside of agriculture, such as in mining, logistics or rail — will be highly regarded.
