About the role

As a Town Planner in Statutory Planning, you will play a crucial role in assessing and determining Development Applications while ensuring compliance with legislation and Council policies. Your expertise will not only aid in decision-making but will also enhance the quality of development outcomes for our community.

  • Assess and determine Development Applications and other land use planning applications with precision and care.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning systems and service delivery.
  • Actively participate in integrated planning efforts and contribute to the overall management of the organisation.

  • Have a relevant qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Local Government Act.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • A proactive approach to teamwork and collaboration within a dynamic planning environment

  • A starting salary from $84,649.24 to $89,830.52 per annum, based on your qualifications and experience.
  • Vehicle Benefits: Choose between a Leaseback Vehicle or a Motor Vehicle Allowance (currently $10,780 per annum)
