To support this growth, we are seeking a motivated and passionate Town Planner to take on a dynamic role that combines planning expertise with project management. This position is central to shaping our future centres by guiding projects from concept to approval and ensuring developments are delivered to the highest standard.

The Role

As our Town Planner, you will be an integral part of our Tuggerah Services Team, supporting the end-to-end delivery of in-house development projects. This role offers a fast-paced environment where you'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and local councils, contributing to every stage of the development lifecycle, from concept through to completion. This position is located at our head office in Tuggerah.

You'll play a key role in scheduling, planning, and coordinating projects that support the expansion and enhancement of our centres.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules and reports.
  • Interpret relevant local and state government planning strategies, policies, directions and legislation.
  • Review building design documentation, drawings and reports to ensure acceptable development in accordance with Little Miracle's aims and objectives.
  • Liaise with consultants and stakeholders to progress authority approvals and design deliverables
  • Conduct site and opportunity analysis.
  • Coordinate application submission to relevant authorities as required.
  • Produce clear monthly project reports and contribute to stakeholder meetings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree qualifications in a planning related area or other suitable planning qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation and council processes
  • Proven ability to manage consultants and coordinate multi-stakeholder projects
  • Experience preparing and lodging applications and reports
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in childcare and residential developments is desirable
