Are you a seasoned Planner with a passion for strategic development? We are seeking a skilled Manager of Strategic Planning to lead a small team of planning professionals with Wagga Wagga City Council during an unprecedented time of growth and investment in the local area.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, engage, and develop the Strategic Planning Team to achieve optimal organisational and community outcomes.
- Coordinate and manage key strategic planning projects from inception to completion within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Assess complex planning proposals and infrastructure plans, and provide expert advice to achieve sustainable objectives.
- Work collaboratively with industry stakeholders to identify business opportunities and facilitate strategic networks.
- Keep stakeholders informed on the progress of key projects and consult them for input and consensus.

**About You**:
You will be a skilled planner with an appropriate qualification (Town Planning, Urban Design or similar) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role driving outcomes in strategic planning, development assessment, and development contributions for the community within a local government, state government, consulting organisation or similar.

Coupled with your technical skills you will have proven team leadership skills, driving outcomes through a small professional team, outstanding communication (written and verbal) and a demonstrable ability to engage and manage a range of stakeholders.
