About Us

OPC has been in operation for 40 years and has been offering Managed IT Services for over 20 years.  We have been at the forefront of delivering full stack Managed Security and Cloud Services since 2021 and web services since 2000. These services, along with our three ISO Certifications held since 2019, remain unmatched by any other Managed Service Provider in our region.

Our Managed Services base has grown by over 40% over the past two years and we are looking to enhance our already strong and dynamic team to support this continued trajectory.

About the Team

You will be a member of our Projects team which oversees the delivery of all projects contributing to the growth and enhancement of our clients' IT environment and provides Level 3 escalation to the rest of the Technical Services team. The team works closely with our Account Managers, Managed Service specialists, Cyber Security specialists and Service Desk to help ensure our clients get the best performance and security from their ICT infrastructure.

About the Role

Working with the team, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure across numerous locations across Canberra.  You will be capable of writing detailed Scopes of Work, reports and client documentation and deliver exceptional customer service through timely and effective communication. You must be willing to undertake further training and professional development which will be provided, and you will be required to keep your certifications up to date.

  • An ability to understand the client's business, how the technology is used by the people of the business with a focus on constant improvement of their systems.

As a senior member of our technical team, the role calls for:

  • Fluency in English and being able to communicate complex issues in simplified and appropriate terms.
  • The ability to mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their growth and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the wider relationships within OPC
  • Supporting the sales team with the preparation of proposals and technical documentation.
  • Undertake continued development of robust documentation and records of our clients' environments.
  • Contribute to the improvement of OPC's ISO standards and processes.
  • A sleeves-up, can-do attitude

Position Requirements

  • Current Driver's license and vehicle (Essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in a systems administrator style role.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration focusing on Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Exposure to, and a functional understanding of, Windows server infrastructure including Azure
