Join a high-performing Security Operations Centre and play a key role in advancing enterprise cyber capability.

We're seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support a major centralised logging refresh and uplift project within a large federal environment. Working in the Security Operations Centre's Engineering team, you'll contribute to capability growth and ensure long-term operational resilience across enterprise systems.


About the Role

You'll manage enterprise-wide security tooling, integrate new log sources into SIEM platforms, and drive improvements across detection, logging, and response systems. Depending on experience, you may directly contribute to project delivery or support broader SecOps operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain enterprise security sensors (e.g. syslog-ng, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR)
  • Troubleshoot tool issues and lead remediation activities
  • Onboard new log sources to centralised logging platforms
  • Support capability development within the SOC Engineering team
  • Contribute expert advice to planning and security improvement initiatives

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in a SOC or Cyber Engineering environment
  • Strong Windows, Linux, and cloud administration (Azure/AWS)
  • Familiarity with log aggregation tools (syslog-ng, Cribl, Azure Data Explorer)
  • Ability to work under broad direction and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
