Our Conservation Programs, Heritage & Regulation team is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Practice and Engagement to lead, direct and deliver strategic engagement programs that optimise regulatory outcomes. In this role, you will design and implement high-quality, targeted education and behaviour-change initiatives that enable and encourage compliance with biodiversity and heritage regulations (CHR). You will provide guidance on regulatory practice, emerging issues and areas for reform and continuous improvement to ensure compliance and strengthen regulatory performance.
You will also develop, implement and evaluate tactical and operational plans, programs and initiatives that advance the CHR's objectives. This includes overseeing the development of ICT regulatory systems, spatial analytics and remote sensing capabilities to support accurate compliance risk assessment, as well as leading the design and delivery of staff capability programs to build a highly mature and effective regulator.
About You
You are a seasoned leader with high level expertise in the analysis of complex concepts, problems and issues, and developing and applying creative and practical solutions that drive results. You have a proven track record of providing clear direction and guidance to multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams in a service-focused regulatory environment. You possess extensive experience in developing, implementing and monitoring business and operational plans. Your leadership ensures that objectives are consistently achieved while fostering collaboration and engagement across all levels of the organisation.
You have demonstrated leadership in effectively managing teams and financial resources to consistently achieve performance standards and support organisational objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in regulation and/or equivalent experience
- Current NSW driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel throughout the state when required
- A satisfactory Criminal History Check is a requirement of this role.
