POSITION DESCRIPTION: SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Role: The Service Technician is primarily responsible for providing expert service and maintenance for InKorr's range of mechanical equipment, particularly heat exchangers. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to improving work processes. From time to time, and as required by management, the Service Technician may also be asked to support sales activities.

Technician Responsibilities of Position:

  • Disassemble, service, and reassemble all types of heat exchangers within InKorr's product portfolio, including gasketed plate and frame, brazed plate, welded plate, spiral, shell and tube, graphite, and silicon carbide units.

  • Proactively identify and propose improvements to service workflows, machinery, and processes to enhance service quality, efficiency, and profitability.

  • Conduct significant travel to client sites to perform on-site service, including diagnosing equipment faults, identifying root causes of problems, and proposing effective solutions that demonstrate InKorr's value as a solutions provider.

  • Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and professional failure analysis and repair reports.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.

  • Understand and interpret mechanical drawings.

  • Operate a forklift safely, manage inventory effectively, and conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing goods.

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Actively participate in the organization and upkeep of the workshop and service areas.

Sales Responsibilities (as required by management):

  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities through interactions with clients during service visits.

  • Communicate potential customer needs and relay opportunities for product and service solutions to the appropriate sales personnel.

  • Represent InKorr professionally during client interactions.
